Having supplied systems to many community run stores we understand the unique issues which this style of EPOS setup brings. Mainly, or in some cases completely, volunteer operated (in most cases by more mature members of the community!), ease of use and time saving measures are absolutely critical. We have developed our EPOS systems to be quick and easy to operate with clear, non-cluttered displays. We have also worked alongside a number of the key wholesalers (Booker and P&H in particular) to integrate our EPOS solutions with their back-end systems to provide a streamlined stock management process - orders can be submitted electronically through the EPOS to the wholesaler, delivery notes are electronically processed and daily/weekly product file updates automatically download to the store system. The EPOS is transformed from a time consuming, labour intensive device to a labour saving investment which provides an immediate return on investment. For locally sourced produce, our systems provide quick and easy barcode labelling, allowing stock to be processed and ready to sell with the minimum amount of effort. Full customer accounts functionality allows customer spending to be “laid- away” for future payment and provides a detailed record of any amounts due. Integrated credit and debit card processing reduces human error which is rife with a separate bank rented terminal (no more £9.99 transactions entered as 99p!) and speeds up transactions at the point of sale immensely. Our staff are also trained and experienced in the style of EPOS setup in the community store environment. Training of volunteers is done in an organised fashion and can be split into groups with simple step-by-step instructions given by the engineer. Emphasis is always given on what the group need to know rather than an “information overload” of features they will never use. Front-of-house staff are shown how to serve customers through the EPOS and those involved in back-office tasks are shown what they need to know in terms of processing stock and running reports. The installer leaves you with a well laid out manual for reference purposes and our EPOS help desk (managed and led by a community shop volunteer himself!) is only a phone call away. We also know that service is important to the community store EPOS system user - our maintenance company covers all rural areas of the UK for hardware issues and software support is always provided through instant broadband access to the shop’s EPOS system. From initial enquiry to installation and after sales care, we provide a complete end-to-end EPOS solution for the community store. - Considerable experience with community shop EPOS setups. - Staff who specialise in assisting “non technical” volunteers with any operational or technical issues they face with the day-to-day use of the EPOS. - Simple to use EPOS software with powerful stock management and reporting capabilities. - National Weights & Measures Office approved for use with integrated weighing scales. - Integrated credit and debit card processing for error-free and streamlined card payments. - Wholesaler integration links for streamlining back office tasks.
