SimplEPOS is now Chip and Pin approved! Both new and existing users are being encouraged to ditch their bank rented terminals in favour of processing credit/debit cards directly through SimplEPOS :

  • Integrated processing (no need to key the amount being tendered into a separate terminal - this prevents costly operator mistakes).
  • Faster transaction processing (done via your store's existing broadband Internet connection, transactions typically only take 3-5 seconds to authorise).
  • Receipts printed from the same receipt printer as your normal receipts (saving on stationery).
  • Multiple till points can all process credit/debit card transactions simultaneously.
  • Lower merchant rates in some cases (check with your acquirer - often these will be reduced when using your own hardware).
  • A more professional image for your business.

SimplEPOS is approved for sale, refund, PWCB (purchase with cash back) and CNP (card not present) transactions.

To process credit and debit card payments through SimplEPOS you will need a Card Processing pack. This pack comprises of :

  • Account setup.
  • A Dione Xtreme Pin Pad (integrated magnetic swipe reader and chip and pin handset).
  • Instructions and support on setting up your pin pad and configuring SimplEPOS with your merchant details.

The Dione Xtreme Pin Pad connects to your PC/EPOS terminal through a single RS232 serial connection. (If preferred, we can supply a USB convertor allowing connection to a USB port instead). This handset provides a small, ergonomic, low cost solution for the small to medium sized retailer :

When processing a credit/debit card transaction in SimplEPOS, on screen directions prompt you to insert/swipe the card, have the customer enter their PIN or sign the receipt, etc.

As an integrated solution, there is no need to enter the amount being tendered into the handset separately to the EPOS screen (unlike if you were to use a bank rented terminal). Receipts for credit/debit card transactions are printed through the same receipt printer as your customer receipts in SimplEPOS.

All transactions are processed promptly via an Internet connection (you will need a broadband Internet connection accessible from the host PC/terminal) and typically take only 3-5 seconds to authorise.

Pricing is as follows :

  • Card processing pack including Dione Xtreme Pin Pad, setup fee and telephone/email support @ £195.
  • £19.50/terminal per month service agreement (min 3 years) upto 1250 transactions per terminal per month (£24.50/terminal per month for upto 2500 transactions).

You will need a broadband Internet connection and a merchant (acquirer) account (if you already have one please contact us to check approval status).
