The CTN newsround management module provides integrated support in SimplEPOS for newsrounds, newsbills, magazine shop-saves and publication voucher redemptions.
SimplEPOS with the integrated CTN newsround management module provides an ideal EPOS software solution for the modern newsagent, offering numerous advantages over a manual news management system.
The CTN newsround management module integrates seemlessly with SimplEPOS to provide :
- Newspaper and magazine delivery subscriptions.
- Round printing for your news delivery staff.
- News bill generation and printing.
- News account settling.
- Voucher redemptions.
- Magazine shop saves.
Newspaper and magazine subscriptions can be quickly added to a customer's account. Publications can be scheduled for morning or evening delivery (ideal for the delivery of local evening papers as well as the national publications). Delivery charges can be set on a subscription basis allowing customer specific charges for morning/evening/Saturday/Sunday delivery:
Regular (weekly) and irregular magazine deliveries can also be added just as easily:
Newsrounds can be printed each morning/evening on demand. Customer specific "round comments" to assist delivery staff can be added to the printouts (eg. "Shut the gate!"). "NO DELIVERY" remarks ensure that holiday stops aren't delivered. Bag totals help to allocate papers to each round when they arrive.
Magazines are booked-in each morning and allocated to customers :
Magazine labelling (requires label printer) prints off small delivery labels to go over the barcode of magazines for delivery or shop save (customer collection). Round numbers are highlighted on the labels to ensure that magazines are allocated to the right round. Magazine deliveries are also printed on the delivery rounds.
Publication deliveries can be stopped indefinitely or for a given holiday period. The latter provides for delivery exceptions or the facility to shop-save the customer's magazines while they are away.
At the end of each month (or however frequently you would prefer) news bills can be automatically generated and printed off for all customers. Bills are printed in round order and can be spread over the week to assist delivery without unwanted duplication :
News accounts can be settled as easily as telling the system how many weeks the customer would like to pay for (the default is upto the previous Saturday). If paying from a bill the system will accept the QB (Quick Bill) code printed on the bill. Customers can also be charged upto a specific date if this is preferred.
Vouchers can be redeemed as payment (eg. if a customer is using them in full or partial payment at the time of settling their account) or pre-payment (in which case the news bill reflects the vouchers received). The value of any vouchers is automatically calculated by the system given the publication, type and quantity received:
Credits for missed deliveries, shop and staff errors can be easily issued to customers with a complaint, and these can be fully monitored using the system reports :
The CTN news management module is priced at £300 per site and is due for release on 1st August 2005. Please call for more information.
