There are umpteen EPOS solution providers in the UK - so what sets us apart from the crowd?
This is something that I am often asked. It's a good question - and people are quite right to ask.

Every company these days needs a USP to survive.

I would say that ours is quite simply that all the software for our systems is developed in-house. We're not box shifters - we don't buy other people's software and sell it on. So what's wrong with that anyway? There are plenty of EPOS companies out there that do it. Well, two things mainly - the impact on customer service and the effect on the cost of the final solution. Where the EPOS company is acting as a reseller you have to pay their margin for the software. An increased cost doesn't mean that you're getting a better solution - only that you're paying for the privilege of buying the software through a third party. As far as customer service is concerned - these software/solution resellers often don't know the product well enough to support it 100% - they often can't give you an answer on the spot and need to revert to the original software provider. Sometimes overseas or not immediately contactable means a delay in getting answers. We're different in this respect - much different - because all of our software is developed in-house it's also supported in-house. This means that when you need an answer you get it - straight away - without delay. What's more we offer something that these resellers can't provide - customisation. Especially with bigger businesses it's simply not viable for the business to adapt to the software - for these people it's essential that the software is flexible and adaptive. With low cost customisation work available to any of our customers even the smallest business can afford extensions to the software to suit their needs. Of course for the vast majority of people the software will suit them out of the box and from the word go - not all businesses can be pigeoned holed though and client's requirements vary so much.
