If you have more than one computer at home or in the workplace, the chances are you will have networked them together to share files and resources (such as printing). But it is common for only one machine to have an Internet connection. Wouldn't it be great for all your machines to be able to access the Internet?

ImagePrxy (the Image Software Proxy Server) allows you to do just that. Installed on your RISC OS Internet machine, this package lets all other machines on your network (RISC OS, Windows, Linux or MacOS) access the Internet.

This is achieved simply by configuring each Web browser to point to the proxy server on your RISC OS Internet machine. Setup takes just a few minutes and full instructions are supplied.

In addition to offering Internet sharing, ImagePrxy offers:

  • a local cache to speed up Internet browsing (especially useful to Oregano users)
  • the ability to filter and block access to specified sites, such as adult sites
  • a history list so you can view which sites have been accessed

Further enhancing the usefulness of this product, Web sites can be saved from the cache onto your harddrive for later inspection or to make available as an off-line resource.
